The Family Peace Center’s work with children began with the Kids Life Group, launched during our founding years to support children and families through biblical teaching, character formation, and relational discipleship. During the pandemic, the program continued to grow, expanding its focus on whole-child development and responding to the isolation, loneliness, and emotional challenges many children were facing during that season.

Over time, this work became more clearly defined, centering on helping children know God, grow in Christ, and live out their faith through Christlike character and healthy relationships. That vision led to the development of L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids®, which now serves as the Family Peace Center’s primary children’s ministry initiative.

As part of this ongoing ministry, the Family Peace Center also developed the L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids® Parent Guides, a collection of 42 short, Scripture-based guides created to help parents disciple their children through everyday moments of faith, feelings, and character. Designed for busy families, each guide follows the CTMP approach—Connect, Teach, Model, and Pray—offering a simple, repeatable rhythm for opening God’s Word, discussing emotions in healthy ways, and practicing faith in real-life situations at home.
