The Family Peace Center’s children’s ministry began with Kids Life Group, the original children’s group where families experienced biblical teaching, character formation, and relational discipleship. Some of the testimonies on this page reflect that early season of ministry.

In 2018, Mike and Nancy Fujii founded the Family Peace Center to help families grow in God-centered relationships through biblical counseling, children’s ministry, and parenting resources. Their work began with a desire to support marriages, parenting, and family life through their L.I.G.H.T. (Living in God’s Holy Truth)® program.

As the children’s ministry grew, the work expanded to include character formation, whole-child discipleship, and biblical resources for children navigating faith, feelings, relationships, and everyday life. During and after the pandemic, this ministry continued to grow as the Family Peace Center served students facing isolation, loneliness, and the need for deeper relational and spiritual support.

In 2023, L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids® launched as a division of the Family Peace Center to help families, schools, churches, and communities teach children Christian values and Christlike character. Today, L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids® serves as the Family Peace Center’s primary children’s ministry initiative, developing Scripture-based resources and partnerships that equip adults to disciple children with biblical truth, emotional wisdom, and a vision for lasting faith.

Through the L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids® Parent Guides and Teaching Guides, parents and teachers are equipped with practical tools to help children open God’s Word, talk about emotions in healthy ways, and practice faith through real-life actions. Each guide follows the Connect. Teach. Model. Pray. approach, offering a simple, repeatable rhythm for everyday discipleship at home, church, and in learning environments.
